Criteria For Nomination

Serving as an executive member at Ghana Council is mainly voluntary. To become an elected executive of the council, members must be part of the council and endorsed by their mother association or group. Council members are nominated by mother registered associations or groups

Mission:

The official mouthpiece of the Ghanaian community in central Ohio, formed by us, all inclusive, above tribal, and ethnic sentiments, nonpartisan, dedicated to advancing the interests of Ghanaians here in Ohio, to help create an environment where all Ghanaians in central Ohio thrive and in which every Ghanaian in the community is assured a decent quality of life.

Vision:

To have an umbrella body that will represent the Ghanaian community in Columbus and its environ at the city, state and federal pursing the interest of the community.

Goal:

To help create an environment where all Ghanaians in Ohio thrive and in which every Ghanaian in the community is assured a decent quality of life.

Core Objectives:

To promote educational, socio-cultural, business exchange between Ghana and the United States, and within the United States,

To promote integration by partnering with all Ghanaians, Ghanaian associations and other community organizations through a host of programs and activities in central Ohio,

To promote unity by fostering oneness among Ghanaians living in central Ohio and its environs,

To maintain and advance the Ghanaian cultural heritage within the State of Ohio and the united states,

To encourage and assist in community development in Ghana.
